Liberty Nation; Today, 80 million Americans over the age of 16 are paid an hourly wage, and just 700,000 of these workers earn the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. Despite most Americans earning market rates and many companies, including retail, boosting their starting salaries, there are movements across the country to increase the government-mandated minimum wage, or “living wage.” But is it necessary?
Starting June 4, a “hospitality professional” at a Sacramento Chick-Fil-A franchise will earn $17 or $18 an hour. It is unclear what the position entails, but new or current employees who nab the job can make far more than the $12.50 present workers bring home. more here
‘hospitality professional’? …. sounds like something Porny Daniels’ sleezebag lawyer would come up with
… to describe his client

As someone mentioned elsewhere, they may pay a lot (relatively) but will hire only the best-performing people. You get what you pay for – and there will be plenty of eager applicants.
I also bet they don’t have any disqualifying demands such as Spanish Language bi-lingualism either.
This is one of the reasons I’ll almost never eat fast food anymore.
Never patronize a business that would discriminate against you in hiring.
Blood money from my LGBT brothers and sisters, who paid with their lives.
Love it Larry! The Dysfunctional LGBTQRSTUVXYZ crowd over on the Island of Misfit Toys just can’t stand success!!
Paid with their lives? Oh Puuuuuleeze!
Hey, free market, free enterprise. Kudos to Chick-Fil-A for giving it a shot. Love the food, love the service. Great place!! I stand with them. Good luck folks!
BTW – somebody left the nut house door open. Larry’s loose again and he’s off his meds. Get the nets and the wagon over here asap, Rat Fink!
I dunno. Sounds like your average snark to me.
If I owned a business, and I was paying $18 an hour, that person better have a college degree. Eventually, leftists will demand that fast food places stop discriminating based on education levels.
