College of the Ozarks drops Nike over Kaepernick ad

FOX: A private Christian college in Missouri announced Wednesday that its athletic teams would no longer wear apparel manufactured by Nike after the sportswear giant tapped Colin Kaepernick as one of the faces of its 30th anniversary “Just Do It” campaign.

College of the Ozarks President Jerry C. Davis said in a statement that Nike’s choice of Kaepernick was “promoting an attitude of division and disrespect toward America.”

“If Nike is ashamed of America, we are ashamed of them,” Davis went on. “We also believe that those who know what sacrifice is all about are more likely to be wearing a military uniform than an athletic uniform.”

College of the Ozarks, which has approximately 1,400 undergraduates, competes in six sports — baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, track and volleyball — as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).  MORE HERE

  1. So great to see the courageous fight back. We on the right, have been pigeon holed and beaten down by the left, for so long. But everyone who stands against them gives leadership and their courage to gather more strength.

President Trump rose above the filth of politics, and got elected by the deplorables. And despite the MSM, we know the truth; his strength is gaining people, not losing them. Just look at the rallies!

The filth of the left is working diligently to steal the 2018 election. But we conservatives need do only one thing to win: VOTE. Start getting out the vote. It’s going to be a ground game. This will be a pivotable election. We have to send the left back under their swamp gas. Shove it back down obamination’s throat until he chokes on his lies. The same goes for all of the swamp dwellers.

  2. Like fuzz head said=
    “Beleive in something”.
I beleive in JESUS.The Ozark college

  3. I’ve been there. The kids are great! They’re not dressed funny, nor in outlandish hair styles. They’re polite and respectful.
My (and vast majority of IOTWers) kind of place.

  4. Too late, but instead of burning everything Nike and Levi’s, give them to the insane, drunk, drug addicted homeless bums wandering all over town messing themselves. They’re the ones who represents Nike.
