Florida Georgia Line Issues Warning to Law Enforcement, “Stay Away”

BearingArms: Country music duo Florida Georgia Line is backpedalling after they allegedly dissed law enforcement in both Wisconsin and now Iowa.

Last week, FGL was in Kenosha, WI for the Country Thunder music festival when they made it clear they didn’t want officers anywhere near them.

“We were on the grounds the entire event covering the camp sites, festival grounds and also (backstage),” Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth told FOX411 Country. “I was informed the (Florida Georgia Line) spokesperson had made the request prior to the concert that no law enforcement be backstage while they were on the grounds.”  MORE

SNIP: Some of my friends who are country music fans have told me that FGL shouldn’t be calling themselves a country music band.

  1. Hey, let these two chumps backpedal all they want. Make sure the next time they play that no cops work the event or the venue and watch the insurance get cancelled. Then if it was a concert watch them get cancelled. Two more enter the Hall of the Truly Stupid.

  2. @Irony Ditto! I hate Hannity’s opening song too. Also- Hannity swears now 😳 and talks over people more than he used to. He seems highly agitated on air nowadays.

  3. Shit band that keeps getting pop hits. Here’s a little Hank III to rinse your ear holes.

So I’m here to put the “dick” in Dixie
and the “cunt” back in country
‘Cause the kind of country I hear now days
is a bunch of fuckin’ shit to me
    They say that I’m ill-mannered
    that I’m gonna self-destruct
But if you know what I’m thinkin’
you’ll know that pop country really sucks!

  4. Goldenfoxx, they both have hot wives and chicks go nuts at their concert.
If they really are ignorant anti-cop I will gladly condemn them too.
It just seems odd that they would be.
    They don’t fit the mold.
Most Southern country singers know the score.
They may be oblivious to politics and just believe the current MSM/Spite House agenda.
    It’s sad if true.
The leftists own the schools and education, MSM, etc.
If anyone should be conservative it’s a Southern rocker.
    We are doomed.

  5. Best part of the article is about when they tried it a second time in Iowa.

Jones County Sheriff Greg Graver said he was headed backstage at the Great Jones County Fair Saturday night to go over security protocol with the band when a FGL crew member told him uniformed officers were not allowed backstage – per the band.

Sheriff Graver says he was told the country duo even threatened to pull the plug on the concert if they saw any cops.

Graver said halfway through their performance, he was told the band wanted him to provide a police escort out of town following their performance. Sheriff Graver informed them he wouldn’t spend “one tax dollar assisting them”.

He also added that although the band’s management had scrambled for other law enforcement agencies to provide the escort … everyone gave them the same kiss off, and the band (and their officer-hating entourage) left the venue and town with their tails between their legs – sans escort.

No matter what they’ve done before or protest isn’t so now, they acted like dumb MF-ing liberals and they should be treated like dumb MF-ing liberals. It’s how some people learn.

To deny they acted like dumb MF-ing liberals is like pissing on my leg and saying it’s raining.

  6. I went Hanks III crazy a few years back, he’s largely unknown (lyrics not good for radio) but by far one of the best!

He’s a bit punk country too, he’s been with Assjack, Arson Anthem, etc. If you’re new to him, try the album Straight To Hell, it’s a great representation of his range.

  7. Loco, Toby Keith, Little Big Town, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift and the like are mostly big time liberals.

Pop country is OK for background music at the state fair, but it is highly produced, corporate, fake, etc.

Bob Wills is still the king!

As they say in Baltimore, thanks for the edumakation. I’ll fire up Spotify and give them a listen. I’m warming to country some as I’ve been musically adrift for over a decade. Nothing interests much anymore.

  9. PHenry,

Hank I, II & III will keep you entertained for months if you can get into it. Waylon Jennings, David Alan Coe, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, etc. are all “outlaw” greats!

I don’t use Spotify, but Pandora is neat because you can add say just a Hank III station and it plays related music. So you find more stuff you might like. I was a kid in the 70’s, I didn’t know it then, but country music like Cash was all around my parent’s collection. Probably the reason I like it so much today.

I know and like all those other guys. Funny. I got a total immersion of David Allan Coe when I lived in
Naples, Italy. Ha. Introduced to me by a Brit. He hated my punk/new wave inclinations.

I really like “mission old Johnny Cash” by haggard and Nelson. Saw willie last summer.

I went to the back of the catalog to Hank 3’s first country album, Risin’ Outlaw. Not bad. OK. Pretty good.

Before that I listened to his early punk stuff with other bands. Forgot their names already. Arson something.

Different topic: back in the days before the tea party emerged we used to read Ace of Spades blog back when it was good. Short posts mostly, pithy, irreverent etc. now it’s verbose and uninspired.

But they organized local get togethers by local readers. I organized Richmond and we met at a local watering hole. I’m still friends with several of those patriots.

Q: is IOTW readership large enough to do the same? Y’all seem to be the kind of mental defectives I’d like to spend an evening with.

Went to a David Allan Coe concert in a small college town.
Played in a bar, it was awesome, he looked bad, dyes his hair.
Got in a fight with a fan before it was all over.
He doesn’t particularly like cops either, mostly because he IS an outlaw.
Those two weenie waggers couldn’t carry David’s guitar.
