DC: A former Arkansas judge confessed Thursday to giving lighter sentences to men convicted of minor crimes in return for nude photographs and sexual favors.
Joseph Boeckmann, 71, pleaded guilty to wire fraud and witness tampering, WNCN reported. The court agreed to drop the other 19 charges that had been brought against him, which amounted to $2.5 million in fines and up to 260 years in prison, according to the Washington Post. read more

This is kind of interesting in that his political affiliation (he was and still is I suppose a Republican) wasn’t found in any of the stories that were linked. Normally if a Republican judge were caught doing bad things the Washington Post would have had that in their lead paragraph. I wonder why it’s being studiously ignored now? Could it because of the Judges seemingly gay nature played such an important point? I guess in Politically Correct Euchre Gay trumps Political Affiliation.
