GOP Opens Field Office In Milwaukee

Urban Milwaukee

The Republican Party of Wisconsin opened its first field office in Milwaukee (2242 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr.) on Thursday. The GOP choose a location in a predominately black neighborhood of the city, signifying not only Milwaukee’s importance in the upcoming presidential election, but also the party’s desire to reach African American voters.

The GOP is planning between six and nine field offices across the state. Andrew Hitt, chair of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said the Milwaukee office has been in the works since last spring.

“This is about becoming part of the community, because if we don’t meet people where they are, we have no chance of winning their vote,” Hitt said. “This is a long-term play for us.” More

  1. Gee, I wonder what we Virginians did that the Party decided not to engage us anymore? Oh, I remember: we rejected their “moderates” for true conservatives, so they threw us to the commies. Eff the GOP

  2. And its totally ironic that the GOP opens its first field office on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. I am hoping that this years democrap convention is not a repeat of the 1968 Dem. convention in Chicago but if the democraps keep on like they’re doing it’s going to be 1968 all over again in spades. And somehow the ghosts of Bill Ayres past will rear its ugly head in chaos and rioting and worse. I hate the democrap/socialist party!

  3. Wisconsin has always been a hotbed of progressive politics beginning with Robert Lafollette who served a US Senator in the early 1900’s and was a candidate for the Progressive Party for President in the early 20’s. His son Fighting Bob Lafollette also served in the Senate until the early 50’s when he was defeated by Joe McCarthy.
