Urban Milwaukee
The Republican Party of Wisconsin opened its first field office in Milwaukee (2242 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr.) on Thursday. The GOP choose a location in a predominately black neighborhood of the city, signifying not only Milwaukee’s importance in the upcoming presidential election, but also the party’s desire to reach African American voters.
The GOP is planning between six and nine field offices across the state. Andrew Hitt, chair of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said the Milwaukee office has been in the works since last spring.
“This is about becoming part of the community, because if we don’t meet people where they are, we have no chance of winning their vote,” Hitt said. “This is a long-term play for us.” More

Gutsy move, I like the thinking in that. I hope no one gets hurt.
Is there an echo in here?
In tomorrows news,”GOP office in Milwaukee burns to ground. Arson is suspected.”
Hope it’s well insured.
Gee, I wonder what we Virginians did that the Party decided not to engage us anymore? Oh, I remember: we rejected their “moderates” for true conservatives, so they threw us to the commies. Eff the GOP

If it does burn down it won’t be at the hands of the black community but instead from suburban white liberals
Wauco, I was actually thinking Somalis. The dark white ones I guess!
The Democrat Party might want to open up Valium dispensaries and suicide hotlines for the lunatic fringe if they expect to weather the storm and regroup before 2024
And its totally ironic that the GOP opens its first field office on Dr. Martin Luther King Drive. I am hoping that this years democrap convention is not a repeat of the 1968 Dem. convention in Chicago but if the democraps keep on like they’re doing it’s going to be 1968 all over again in spades. And somehow the ghosts of Bill Ayres past will rear its ugly head in chaos and rioting and worse. I hate the democrap/socialist party!
Milwaukee is a rough place for Republicans. Democrats have been in control there for so long that it could pass for Detroit, only the water is safer to drink.
^^^ Actual Socialists have been in control of MKE for a very long time.
Hope it’s not on the ground floor.
Wisconsin has always been a hotbed of progressive politics beginning with Robert Lafollette who served a US Senator in the early 1900’s and was a candidate for the Progressive Party for President in the early 20’s. His son Fighting Bob Lafollette also served in the Senate until the early 50’s when he was defeated by Joe McCarthy.
@Bob Lablaw ~ it’s what passes for ‘journalism’ these day … it’s called fill up the web page w/ tweets & then
quotecut & paste the tweet verbatim … then do it over again … just in case your readership is d’RAT’s
