His name is Chris Turner. He is a one-liner comedian from England. I was struck by how quiet the audience got when he said he wrote a joke about black people. You can feel the uptightness, it’s palpable.
Of course, the joke was funny, and it got a big laugh, but why was all of the air sucked out of the room the moment he signaled that a joke about blacks was about to happen?
