It’s one thing to read a quote, it’s an entirely different one to hear it.
Early last year, representative Alvin Holmes, of Alabama, said that he doesn’t care if someone wants to marry a mule.
Of course this statement, being that it was said while discussing gay marriage, likens marrying gays to marrying animals. But don’t expect the left to catch on to that.
Not only is the statement an embarrassment, listen to the guy make it., am I supposed to pretend that this is a man with an IQ above 80? This sounds an awful lot like the Amos n’ Andy episodes that are labeled racist.

The value system of Leftists is subjectivist by nature. Therefore all morality is conditional, any behavior can be excused with “good intentions,” and thus there is no such thing as embarrassment.

My opinion is that it goes further than marrying an animule. Mules can’t reproduce. Oh yeah, neither can homosexuals, so they might as well marry one. (Maybe they’ll marry the ugly one in the herd.)

It’s also situational; i.e., hypocritical. They’ll use an incident against a conservative or a liberal who is no longer useful that they’ll turn right around and defend when perpetrated by one of their own. Hence the old rule that they don’t actually believe anything they say they believe.
As a resident of Alabama, I would like to point out that we conservatives totally took back the state government in 2012, making Alvin useless. Alvin is an embarrassment to the state citizens who care, unfortunately, his district does not. I would say he is our version of Biden but he is so much worse because he is crude and vulgar.
