A physics problem that has plagued science since the days of Isaac Newton is closer to being solved, say a pair of Israeli researchers. The duo used “the drunkard’s walk” to calculate the outcome of a cosmic dance between three massive objects, or the so-called three-body problem. More
Link goes to a time/space discontinuity.
Alcohol will not solve the geometry problem. One has to decide for themselves whether to be stacked or planer, or some combination.

This should work
Huh. OJ Simpson solved the two-body problem 25 years ago.
Link fixed
I’ve never had a three body problem, but I’ve seen pictures and it looks like fun.
Hell, I’m not an astrophysicist but I solved this “Drunkard’s Walk” problem years ago. It’s quite simple really, you just need to close one eye.
I like turtles!
Me too, @Hambone. I’m down with turtles all the way. (-:
Keep in mind that during an earthquake the drunk is the only one who can walk straight!
These are iterative computations, not a “solution.” I don’t see (we touched on these ideas in Plumbing School) how applying the “random walk” will foster a “solution” (a single mathematic expression – such as the quadratic equation).
But, goodness knows, it’s worth a shot!
