Jaamal Bowman to Plead Guilty on Pulling Fire Alarm

New York Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman has been criminally charged for pulling a fire alarm in a Capitol office building in September.

Knowingly and falsely pulling a fire alarm is a misdemeanor according to the District of Columbia criminal code and punishable by a fine or up to six months in prison. Bowman plans to plead guilty and has agreed to pay the maximum fine, according to a spokesperson for the D.C. attorney general’s office. More
