  12. I am here because my moms ancestors were English and arrived in New England in the 1630’s and 40’s. Roger Williams the founder of Rhode Island is in my moms family tree. My dads ancestors were German and were here in the early 1800’s and continually moved West. I am what used to be called a WASP, a white Anglo Saxon Protestant. My wife’s family were English Catholics fleeing religious oppression by the English govt. and first moved to Maryland in the early 1700’s (one step ahead of the hangman) before the American Revolution and were some of the first settlers in Kentucky along with Daniel Boone in the late 1700’s. So I guess that makes me and my children and grandchildren a traditional American first and foremost and proud of who I am and who we are as a family are descended from. I may even have some American Indian in me since my paternal grandfather who was from Oklahoma originally was at least part Indian. There is nothing wrong with being a traditional American or being descended from European immigrants who came here in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s as long as they were willing to assimilate and become American citizens. We’re all Americans, I am tired of all this balkanization bs being carried out by the left to make us live in disunity with all the racial and ethnic groups pitted against one another to divide and conquer us as One nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

    Years ago, when newspapers still allowed reader comments and discussions, I used a newspaper that used the term “La Raza” itself in it’s articles but auto changed it to “holding hands” when commenters used it in a post.

    So, yes, they do know what it really means and want to keep its meaning suppressed.
