Jordan Did A Little House Cleaning Over The Weekend

The Arab nation of Jordan hanged fifteen convicted criminals on Saturday, ten of whom were members of various terrorist organizations. The Jordanian government has been arresting and convicting more and more terrorists in recent years and I guess they decided it was time to make room for more.

  1. And then there’s this asshole:

“Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said in a statement the death penalty was not a deterrence, citing a spike in militant attacks since last year.”

Prove it’s not a deterrent, fool. Keep killing ’em! One life saved = deterrent! Period.

  2. “However, Jordan is among the few Arab states that have taken part in a U.S.-led air campaign against Islamic State militants holding territory in Syria and Iraq”

Which explains why they received Amnesty International’s wrath.

  3. Deterrence is a straw-man argument. It’s called capital punishment, not capital deterrence and it definitely works as a punishment. And one thing is certain, those hung are deterred from ever killing again.

  4. Jordan has quietly helped the US in the region since before Desert Storm. Hence they are a target of the UN and the Islamic terrorists, but I’m being redundant.

  5. The recidivism rate among those who have been hung is zero. None has ever come back to commit further crimes. Call it attitude adjustment, it sure is effective!

  6. I think Denis Prager had a simple thought experiment.

Have capital punishment for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday murders and for the other days of the week it is life in prison.

I guarantee that you would see a drop in murders on M, W, F.

Amnesty International is a joke. They condemn the U.S. and Israel more than the all the evil Islamic shitholes combined.
