Kelli Ward on McCain: He’s too old at 80 to be re-elected

CFP: One of the reasons we have such bad leaders in this country is that we’re not permitted – by decorum, by whatever – to mention perfectly legitimate reasons that certain people should not be elected to public office. Some people are not healthy enough to serve. Some people are not honest enough. Some people are not smart enough. And some people are simply too old and it’s long since their time to retire, but they’re too addicted to the trappings of power and prominence and they can’t or won’t let it go.

Kelli Ward, who is running in the Republican primary for the Arizona Senate seat now held by John McCain, is now under fire for saying what should be obvious to anyone: Eighty is awfully old for a man to be starting a six-year Senate term. Chances are your mental faculties are not what they once were, and you certainly aren’t going to have the same physical stamina. If it’s fair to point out that some people are too young to serve in public office – and it certainly is – why is it not fair to point out that some people are too old?

  1. WHAT USE IS THIS GUY?? HE’S WORTH ABOUT $10M FROM BEING ON THE TAKE, IS HE GOING TO DIE ON THE SENATE FLOOR???

GO AWAY, JOHN!!! THIS IS NOT A POW CAMP!! YOU ARE FREE TO GO!!

  2. It was okay for the media and Democrats to point out McCain was too old 8 years ago. It just depends who is pointing it out. But why does this guy even want another term?! What does he left to destroy or do to further enrich himself? Term limit poster child.

  3. He’s stolen enough … so it’s not that.
Once addicted to the heroin of Senatorial grandeur, it’s impossible to withdraw.

There are only 100 of them, among the 350,000,000 of us, and they live like Grand Viziers. Foreign “dignitaries,” Hollyweird “illuminati,” grandees of the press, criminals, sociopaths … in fact … everyone who would buy a favor courts them bearing gifts beyond the imaginings of the common, unwashed, filthy mass of ordinary “citizens.”
    Lords upon Olympus.
Millions struggle, fail, succeed, or die in dismal poverty due to the utterances and deals struck with each other, to benefit each other.

Hard to walk away from that.

Especially when the final destination is Hell.

  4. I agree with Benito. There is a point where a politician has milked the system and stolen enough money they should be kicked out. Being under FBI investigation should be enough to boot them out though I know intent is never an issue and prosecution isn’t an option.

  5. This is, precisely, why the 17th Amendment should be repealed.
The States no longer have Representation in the Congress, as intended by our founders. The Senate is just another House with fewer members and more opportunity to steal.

  6. If you take away the Admirals son and grandson special treatment of him academically and flight ability. Take away the fact he behaved less then honorably(Songbird) in V/Nam. Take away his infidelity that resulted in a divorce and the birth of the rights favorite chunky monkey. Take away the incentive of money from the new amore. Take away the physical and mental abuse he suffered at the hands in N V/Nam.
He’s still too damn old !!

  7. Here in Florida, Rubio won. Hopefully, he can beat Patric Murphy who destroyed Alan Grayson. Murphy is a big time BHO supporter. Rubio looks fantastic compared to hi.
In Florida Congresssional District 5 (redrawn to snake from Jacksonville to Tallahassee instead of its former snaking down to Orange County), Al Lawson beat Corine (Go Gatas) Brown😀
I also understand that the far left loons in South Florida went with DWS again – idiots.

  8. Every ballot should have voter’s fingerprints and pol worker’s fingerprint on the ballot. That would put a heavy dent in democrat controlled voter fraud. The Republicans do not re elect McKainnedy. Dead and non existent democrats keep electing McKainnedy. Pro McKainnedy voters in Arizona are nearly impossible to find.
