Lesbian Woman Lives as “Ned” to See What She Can Learn About Men

I can’t believe I watched this entire video. I went in thinking it was going to be a bashfest of men by an angry lesbian. Luckily, Norah Vincent actually kept an open mind and really did set out to write a book about what she didn’t know- the best method.

In the end she realizes that she’s been the judgmental one, the one with preconceived stereotypes, and men were not at all what she thought they would be like in private.

She also thought that Ned would be more of a hit with women, being sensitive and less testosterone-laden. She felt like women always wanted a woman’s mind in a man’s body.

She said she was dead wrong. Women, for the most part, want men – masculine, strong men.

I still don’t have a handle on what I’ve learned, but I’m thinking about it enough to understand that it’s worth a post.

  1. I actually thought that was great. Not only were her stereotypes destroyed, but she had the integrity to admit they were… on ABC, of all places.
Only mistake, in my opinion, was the “men’s therapy retreat” because I don’t believe that represents normalcy in any way, shape or form. Those guys are crazy and it has nothing really to do with being men. They’re just nuts.
My favorite part was the bowling league in Regular Deplorable America. She couldn’t even bowl and the guys all took her in an encouraged her! That’s what Americans are really like all over the country. And, it’s why liberals are so out of touch.
Good for her for not only reporting the truth, but having the open mindedness to actually go looking for it in the first place.

  2. I am tired of all the LGBTQXYZ BS. However, this is a very interesting video. It is so contrary to all the BS we are fed by the press. I did not expect to find her such a likable honest woman.
