The student accused of making a threat against East High School earlier this year was picked up by ICE after she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge Wednesday.
Police say former student Abigail Hernandez used a fake Facebook account to post the threat back in February, saying she wanted to shoot up the school. Family and friends tell us Hernandez has learning disabilities and may not have known or fully understood what was going on.
Earlier Wednesday, Hernandez pleaded guilty to falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor. She was immediately picked up by ICE as she was being released from the Monroe County Jail.
Hernandez faces deportation because she is an undocumented immigrant. Her attorneys thought because she pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor, she would not be a target.
