Can we all agree that the stated purpose was to “flatten the curve” so our hospital system could handle the inevitable COVID-19 patients who needed care? At that point, at least, back in early March, people were behaving rationally. They accepted that you can’t eradicate a virus, so let’s postpone things enough to handle it. The fact is, we have done that, and so much more. The headlines are filled with dire warnings of a “second wave” and trigger-happy Governors are rolling back regulations to try to stem the tide of new cases. But, is any of it actually true and should we all be worried? No, it’s not a second wave. The COVID-19 virus is on its final legs, and while I have filled this post with graphs to prove everything I just said, this is really the only graph you need to see, it’s the CDC’s data, over time, of deaths from COVID-19 here in the U.S., and the trend line is unmistakable:
If virologists were driving policy about COVID-19 rather than public health officials, we’d all be Sweden right now, which means life would effectively be back to normal. The only thing our lockdowns have done at this point is prolong the agony a little bit, and encouraged Governors to make up more useless rules. Sweden’s health minister understood that the only chance to beat COVID-19 was to get the Swedish population to a Herd Immunity Threshold against COVID-19, and that’s exactly what they have done, so let me start there. If an honest investigation was ever done on this Covid bullshit and we had honest prosecutors and Judges there would likely be hundreds of people from the bureaucracy and both political parties at all levels going to jail. Yes, the Chinese lied and in concert with the CDC and WHO muddied the waters but it should have been clear enough to realize that this was no more dangerous then a bad flu. Even with the lies it should have been common sense to just limit travel and use government resources to protect (as best you can in this sort of society) the most vulnerable of us (seniors, those with underlying health problems made worse by the virus and the very young). Instead a truly evil group conspired to destroy the economy in order to unseat a sitting President. Too bad the MSM is filled with cowards and progressives as the trees outside are filled with Pulitzer Prizes just waiting for a few intrepid reporters. Maybe it’s time to break up all those big communications companies.

I’ve got my doctorate in the healthcare field. I’ve got a background where I have to be able to read and dissect medical research. I read the article last nigh after LCD posted it (thanks LCD) and spent about 3 hours following every link and picking through the article, the data at the link, and anything the link used as a reference. This is solid. We always knew this, but now there is the science to back this up. I live in AZ where we are having spike in cases. The hospitalizations and deaths are going down. People are scared needlessly. This really helps.

The progressive left likes the fireworks. It was the conservative right that needed time to find something to hide behind.
