Indigenous protesters in Brazil shoot arrows at police in response to tear gas.
FOX: BRASILIA – Around 2,000 indigenous people from different Brazilian tribes demonstrated in the capital on Tuesday, demanding that the government speeds up the demarcation of their land.
Clashes with police broke out sporadically when the protesters formed small groups and attempted to enter the parliament building. The authorities managed to keep them outside.
The police fired tear gas and the protesters responded by shooting arrows, some of which remained stuck in the large gardens surrounding the legislative palace.
In addition to demanding faster action in Congress regarding the demarcation of their land, the protesters expressed their rejection against a bill that introduces changes in the delimitation process of those territories.
The decisions on these lands have been made so far by the state-run National Indian Foundation (FUNAI), but if the bill is approved such responsibility will be transferred to the Congress, where according to critics there are group of lawmakers who represent particular interests. more

indigenous?
Does that mean black person?
I assume this is Obama
Obviously they don’t have Brown Lives Matter
down there. I vote we send Barky and his wookie
to over see it. They are the specialists!
I’m torn, my sympathies lay with the Indians, but they look a lot like Antifa.
Hope these tribes fare better than the North American Indians did.
“Hope these tribes fare better than the North American Indians did.”
Sadly, no. Brazil and all other Latin American countries are pretty much following the same pattern as the US. Even well defined preserves are not immune to the greed of politicians and oligarchs. They seem to suffer more under Socialist regimes.
Those arrows can quite dangerous because they are usually dipped in poison. The point is not make you bleed out, just to prick you.
I remember seeing a nighttime security guard in Guayaquil, Ecuador, comfortably seated in the doorway of a building with his neatly pressed uniform and bare feet, armed with a small bow and a quiver of poison arrows. He was much more intimidating than the single shot rifles usually seen.
Silly indigenous people, the surveys that determine where the valuable resources on your land can be exploited aren’t finished yet….
First of all I want to say terrific blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you
do not mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and
clear your mind before writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15
minutes tend to be lost simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations
or tips? Thank you! http://workaholicstudios.com/index.php/component/k2/itemlist/user/4610
