USATODAY– MEXICO CITY — Unpopular President Enrique Peña Nieto endured a second day of withering attacks Thursday from critics who complained he failed to stand up to Donald Trump during their controversial get-together.
Thursday’s newspaper headlines were unkind. “Trump uses EPN,” the Mexico City daily Reforma said, using the president’s initials. El Universal ran a softer headline: “After the visit, Peña sees the threat in Trump.”
During their meeting Wednesday, Peña Nieto didn’t demand that Trump apologize for calling Mexican migrants rapists and criminals. He also stood silently at their joint news conference while the Republican presidential candidate repeated his promise to build a wall on the border between the U.S. and Mexico.
Peña Nieto “had the last word,” Arturo Franco, senior non-resident fellow at the Atlantic Council, said Thursday. “There was every opportunity to correct Trump.” MORE

The plan, as I understand it at present, is to fund the wall by taxing remittances to Mexico sent by the Mexicans in the US.
Since this was $25 billion sent to Mexico in 2014, if there was a 10% tax on this, it would pay for the wall in four or five years. Though, presumably this amount would drop as the Mexicans are deported.
Hillary has been getting hammered at home as well, which accounts for all her stumbling around, fugues, and wearing pajamas to public appearances.

Do the U.S. taxpayers fork over foreign aid to Mexico? If so, does Congress control the expenditure? Hopefully Trump will get line item veto.
My guess is a few years of no foreign aid pays for the wall. Seizing drug cartel asserts could go a long way to fund detox of our citizens who have not yet lost their minds from the drugs.
