Mind Rape vs Free Speech

Via the Bullpen, from Czar of Defenestration:

This is a nice description of WHY the Right loses year after year…and HOW WE CAN WIN…after a LOT of work. It takes a change of perspective which amplifies/complements everything I understand this site to stand for.

How To Escape The Age Of Mass Delusion

obama hope progress change bs

Mass delusion is an important tool of oppressors because they can’t survive free expression. That’s why the First Amendment’s a target.

Nearly 100 years ago, Walter Lippmann wrote about “the manufacture of consent” in his classic work, “Public Opinion.” On the heels of that book, Edward Bernays penned a little volume called “Propaganda,” in which he stated that an elite would always be responsible for making the public aware of “new ideas” which the public would then act upon as the elite nudged them into it. Related, but more in-depth is Jacques Ellul’s 1962 book, “Propaganda: The Formation of Men’s Attitudes.”

Political propaganda aims to mobilize the masses to move an agenda forward. That’s most effectively done when the masses are unaware of the process. It’s what “community organizers” work towards, whether they know it or not. Once the masses are mobilized to push for a cause, the propagandists’ goals can be put into law.  more

  1. …slipping on a pronoun in these days of transgender rule could cost you your career or earn you massive social media rallies chanting “hater”…

This is why i dont do twitter or facebook anymore. To many people are being terminated by their free expression.

  2. From the article:

Meanwhile, the Left has been employing social psychology and depth psychology on the masses for decades. President Obama’s campaign staff was filled with social psychologists. In this context, those who believe conservatives can subsist on reason and logic alone are kidding themselves. It’s no wonder GOP leaders are caving on so many principles, and being absorbed so easily into the Left’s machine.

    Duh.

  3. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. The cruds are using so-called polling data to push their agenda! When it’s an issue they want to press they continually increase the ‘pro’ section of their polling data until it appears that a solid majority is for the issue. It doesn’t matter what the issue is the polling process works the same. When a person thinks that his fellow citizens have swung in favor of the issue he/she is tempted to join the bandwagon and not be an outsider (queer marriage for example). We are being duped by the process and the politicians and pollsters are laughing at us. All polls have a target outcome, are fixed, devious and malignant.

  4. From the article (which was extremely well written):

“…political correctness is primarily a tool for crushing people’s ability to have open conversations in friendship and mutual respect. In this context, it seems very much like a tool to bring all personal relationships under state control. And it shouldn’t surprise us that this is being done today in the name of equality for certain kinds of personal relationships. Tyrannies always pretend to promote the very thing they seek to destroy.”

We had better wake up from this nightmare that is political correctness before it destroys the First Amendment. Should that occur, the entire Constitution goes down in flames…

As the comic strip Pogo stated in 1971 (although it was applied to Earth Day!): “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

  5. I just got my account frozen because…well, I don’t know why. I emailed them and if they don’t reply, I guess that’s it. Too bad, because I mostly used it to post Fur’s art and iOTWr posts.

  6. Agree with everyone – this was a tremendously well-written article and EXACTLY what we need to hear. Take this quote:

“Meerloo offers a prescription: “We must learn to treat the demagogue and aspirant dictator in our midst just as we should treat our external enemies in a cold war – with the weapon of ridicule.”

Isn’t that what Fur has been saying for years!?!?!

  7. Here’s how to fight back. When a polling firm calls, demand that they tell you who paid for the poll. If they do not disclose the name of the person, organization or company that wants the polling data, then tell them you will not participate in their poll. Then hang up.

  8. “As the comic strip Pogo stated in 1971 (although it was applied to Earth Day!): “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

Uh, this is part of the reason why we are losing! We keep accepting the shibboleths of the left without question! We have to reclaim the language and start using it for ourselves. If we allow our children to be influenced by the language and culture then we will lose!
