A St. Louis man said he made a disturbing find inside his mother’s freezer.
Adam Smith said his mother lived in the same apartment complex for decades, and he recently moved back into her apartment to help her after her cancer diagnosis.
According to KSDK in a July 29 report, his mother died about a week ago, and Smith began going through her stuff.

When cleaning out the ancient chest freezer in the basement for our move in 2015, I found an original box of Atkins bars from 1999 or 2000, I believe it was. They were quite good.

50+ yrs ago, one of the home builders we interviewed told us of remodeling a restaurant in Indiana, that was reputed as having mob contacts, just outside of Chicago. He said he opened a large chest type freezer, and there were two male bodies in it. I don’t doubt it. About a year and a half the mob dropped two fresh bodies in the weeds and overgrowth of a newly started subdivision about 20 miles south of that restaurant.
No wonder my dad said he only drove bootleg truck for Capone one time for a quick buck. Wanted no part of mob operations. They probably really didn’t want him either. He was Roman, not Sicilian. He used to hang out in Hegewisch, IL when he first came to the U.S.
…you need to chill, @Vietvet, while I ce what you did there, you may get the cold shoulder from other folks who think your comment shows a lack of warmth, and they’ll freeze you out because of it…

What a horrible thing to discover. Let’s hope this was a case of a still-born baby and a young mother not knowing how to deal with it.
