More Mexicans leave than enter USA

MSN: For the first time in more than four decades, more Mexican immigrants are returning to their home country than coming to the United States, according to a report released Thursday.

From 2009 to 2014, an estimated 870,000 Mexicans came to the United States while 1 million returned home, a net loss for the United States of 130,000, according to the report from the Pew Research Center. That historic shift comes at a time when immigration has become a contentious focal point in the 2016 presidential race, as Republicans and Democrats argue over how best to modernize the nation’s immigration system.

Mark Hugo Lopez, director of Hispanic research at the center, said the net decline in Mexicans was driven by the Great Recession in the United States that made it harder to find jobs, an improving economy in Mexico and tighter border security. read more

  1. GM says by 2020, 40 percent of cars manufactured for the US will be built in Messco. I believe the current figure is 18 percent. Maybe they’re getting in line?

Their country is also sitting on a lot of oil that they aren’t drilling. You want to see self-deportation? Tell them about high-paying jobs with an oil company.

  2. This article is bullshit. #1 they can’t count for shit or are arbitrary on the specific group of mexicans they want to include, and #2 It starts off talking about the end of the Great Recession and then continues to talk about After the Great Recession. Yea, it’s so far gone.

  3. “Quality Control” doesn’t mean the same thing in Mexico. I am so sick of looking at Stratocasters and finding “MIM” stamped on them. Different wood, cheaper pickups, neck doesn’t feel right …

I won’t buy Mexican made spark plugs either. Mucho problema!
