@KCIR- you would never believe it, but we had our own little hockey rivalry ourselves, on the asphalt though once, the Bruins vs the Blackhawks on roller skates of course! I was of the Bruins because we like the ‘colors’.
In a place called Co-op City in the Bronx, a life once or twice removed. Sometimes we even skated against teams from the OTHER side of the Bronx.
Hockey was the greatest street sport of them all to play. Skating was constant to the point of wanting to vomit, but you kept skating, there were no lines to shift, just a basic squad.
