The Daily Mail reports that Channel 1, an LA-based news channel hoping to launch in the near future, is planning to introduce AI news anchors. These AI-generated anchors, set to debut as early as February on ad-supported streaming platforms like Crackle, Tubi, and Pluto, represent a significant shift in news broadcasting.
The AI anchors are created using a blend of digital doubles and animated faces, designed to mimic real human behavior and expressions. Why stop at 6 fingers (Base 12) ?
Base 16 is nice, too. I’d go with 3 thumbs (normal side gets 2) and 5 fingers. Think about the dexterity!
All the Progs going to college for broadcasting will now be getting a defunct degree as all the Prog news networks go this route. It’ll be cheaper to pay a maintenance technician than several of them over-inflated wages.
