No Post-Debate Letdown- Trump Draws Enormous Crowd in Central Florida

Breitbart: MELBOURNE, FL – If Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s debate performance on Monday left much to be desired, it didn’t show at a rally on central Florida’s east coast a night later.

Trump drew perhaps his biggest crowd in Florida’s I-4 corridor at the Melbourne International Airport before a crowd of thousands under a backdrop of threatening weather.

After giving remarks in remembrance of Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez and legendary professional golfer Arnold Palmer, Trump hit his usual chords on the economy, keying in on trade in particular.

Part of that included hitting his opponent Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement.

“You can’t allow TPP to happen,” Trump declared. “It will be a catastrophe. Nothing will be as bad as NAFTA, but this one will be close. A vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for TPP and the destruction and continued destruction of American jobs. America’s jobs are in deep trouble.”

In addition to trade, Trump hit Clinton on being the candidate of yesterday.

  1. When you really stop and think that a literally worthless piece of shit ‘Asshole’ like Rodham Clinton is actually running to be the ‘President of the United States’ it will make you sick to your stomach, or worse!

  2. Despite the debate polls all the media, including FOX has declared Hitlary the winner of the debate and are expecting a good bounce for her. Including Ed Rollins whom I get e mails from daily asking for money. I don’t get it.

  3. Trump is gonna wait until the last minute and then he’s gonna come to California and pull the rug from under her in the black & Hispanic community. All he’d have to do is explain how the left is trying to re-instate draconian gun control to disarm the minorities just like it was originally intended to do.

Hillary would have a shit-ton of kittens if Trump pulled off California.

    55 electoral votes, people!

  4. I think Trump actually knew what he wanted to do in the first debate, and actually did it. A lot of people don’t believe Trump can control himself and act “Presidential,” and I think Trump intentionally restrained himself to counter these claims. A lot of folks wanted Trump to go after Hillary, and while Trump certainly had ample opportunity to do so, at one point Trump himself said he would’t go there.

Trump doesn’t really need the advice of political talking heads. According to them, Trump would not last past the first few Republican primaries, then he would not come out ahead against 16 other candidates, then something would happen to derail his nomination, and Trump would get pasted by Clinton in the public opinion polls. Instead, we now have Donald Trump as the Republican nominee in a dead heat with Hillary Clinton.

The debates are just shows which much of America will forget about two days after the fact. This election will be won or lost through traditional campaigning – personal appearances and interaction with various voting groups. This is Trump’s strength, and while Hillary Clinton seemed to “win” the debate, she absolutely needed to in order to keep her campaign on track because the rest of her campaign is lacking. But don’t underestimate Trump – he has demonstrated time and time again he actually knows what he is doing.

  5. @Wyatt — Trump won all but a couple (CNN, NBC) online polls by YUGE! margins — even polls by Slate and other progressive entities.

You are right, Trump’s campaign has always been about speaking directly to the people. He started today with a town hall with the American Polish Congress, then he left for a 3 p. at Council Bluffs, IA, and will be at another in Waukesha, WI, at 7 p.

There were 24K people who showed up to the Melbourne rally last night with room for only 10K. A first person account from an Army vet: “We registered over 90 new converted Republicans at this rally ([just]in my group), these ones were former Democrats. I asked what made them switch to Republican and come to the Rally today? All, told me the same response=1. They watched the debate and realized Clinton has been there for 20 years and nothing good has happened from her. 2, they said Trump doesn’t sound like a politician promising a chicken in every pot, only simple solutions to bring jobs back to the USA. 3, This is one I was surprised with..they wanted the border secured and no refugees taking money away from our citizens.”

  6. As much as I hate to write it, Trump didn’t win over wavering Republicans and worried Independents with his debate performance. He’s drawing great enthusiastic crowds, but he still hasn’t converted the voters who could put him over the top. In Colorado it appears that his momentum has stalled. It’s the electoral college that counts in close elections. When they asked for Ronald Reagan to be Reagan, he came through and got reelected. If Trump doesn’t want to be defeated, he has to rein in his Trumpian ways in the next two debates. I don’t want to see Clinton back in the White House, so I hope Trump will not waste anymore opportunities to knock her out of the ring. The country is ready for a change of leadership, but he has to win over the voters who can make it happen.

  7. It is wise strategy for Trump to start off nice with the bitch. Otherwise many would incorrectly label Trump a blowhard bully. He must establish his credentials as a president. It will make the bitch go crazy when her handlers report that the polls, not faked by CNN and NBC, show Trump moving up and hers going down. When the reports keep coming in about his enthusiastic huge crowds versus her shipped in rented handful of college kids, she will come unhinged at some point, the dementia will take a leapfrog forward, and “there you go”.

  8. Marco, how did you happen to come by this knowledge, watching CNN? You appear to be talking out your rectal orifice just like Mrs. Clinton. Please tell us the number of successful campaigns you for President you have run.

  9. @wyatt
He allowed all of despicable Hillary to shine through. The public knows she lies. They know Lester was acting as a blocker. The public has become hardened, having built calluses from the lies of Hillary, and professional lying politicians.

Hillary doing smug ‘victory’ rallies wuth crowds she wishes were 100th the size of Trumps is ludicrously comical. Laugh, Hillary. We are all laughing AT your pathetic attempts to rise to the top of the pond scum.

Hooray!!! Just heard: Obama veto overridden in Senate. Are they finally afraid their chickens coming home? Too late, senators!! We will not forget your treachery!

  10. I’ve been saying from the beginning that at the debates, Trump would wipe the floor with Madame Smug’s pantiliners and make. Her. Eat. Them.

I still believe that. I just didn’t realize that it wouldn’t happendages until later in the debate cycle.

  11. @Sam — “Hooray!!! Just heard: Obama veto overridden in Senate. Are they finally afraid their chickens coming home? Too late, senators!! We will not forget your treachery!”

Brother, you said a mouthful! This is no business-as-usual halfway movement. This crowd is out for heads on pikes. Everyone in the Congress better update their resumes to see if they have ANY transferable skills to private employment.
