Some people drink Coke with their lunch, some as a midday refresher, even some for breakfast in place of warmer caffeinated beverages. For an elderly Virginia man, it was all he consumed for five days straight after a fall in his Arlington home last month, per Fox News. It was a mail carrier who first noticed something was amiss at Glenn Smith’s place: ARLnow reports she was delivering mail there on Aug. 2 when she noticed that previous mail was still sitting where it had been left; the door was also ajar. When she asked neighbors if anyone had seen Smith, no one had, and someone called the police. Per the Arlington County Police Department, when officers arrived shortly after noon, they found “an adult male in need of medical assistance inside the residence.”
A neighbor says police told him Smith had fallen on July 29 and couldn’t move, and that the only sustenance within arm’s reach were Cokes lying on the floor nearby.
No Pepsi, Coke!
Lucky for him it wasn’t Diet Coke.
Now if this was Bear Grylls.
Did he shoot it up or snort it? What’s an old man doing with this much coke?
Lucky dude.
Arlington … pretty surprising that the “Letter Carrier” would pay that much attention.
Generally, the larger the MSA the less anyone GsAF.
izlamo delenda est …
Things really do go better with Coca- Cola.
Lucky it wasn’t prune juice…
Glad you made it, but time for some in-home care, buddy.
Elderly persons that live alone should be members of medic alert systems and wear ALWAYS the electronic alert pendant.
The mind often doesn’t want to face the reality of age and the possible need of help occurring. Personal pride can be fatal.
Elderly Medical Alert
Recommendations and A Buying Guide
An elderly medical alert can literally save your elderly parents life. It’s a scary thought but it’s not uncommon for seniors to fall and not be able to get up or to a phone for hours.
Instead, they lie on the floor waiting for neighbours, friends or family to hear their calls for help or happen to stop by to check in.

My baby sister had a heart attack and died on her kitchen floor, she was there 3 days.
She was a “Dog Lady”, cremated, nobody was allowed to see the body.
Dogs gonna eat.
I shudder whenever I think about it.
