Orbiting Stars Expected to Blow Up Soon

Astronomers were excited yesterday with the announced discovery of two Wolf-Rayet stars circling each other at incredible speeds. Found in our own galaxy, one of the stars named Apep is expected to be ripped apart and explode in an event almost as energetic as the Big Bang itself. Observers are speculating that if the star does super nova it would release a deadly gamma ray burst that if it were directed toward us, would blow apart our atmosphere even though Apep is 8,000 light years away. Uhh, no. Stellar masses, even super stellar masses are a pimple on the ass of the energies that gave birth to particles that posses mass.

  2. “If the Earth did happen to be in the path of such a phenomenon, it could deplete the ozone layer and expose the planet to high doses of radiation. In the most unfortunate circumstances, this could trigger widespread extinction.”

Look at the bright side, if you have solar panels you can die knowing there is a renewable energy source.
