These State prisons, with a nice motorcade are only an hour north of the city, the most, in Orange County. Otisville is a famous one for example.
IF they do want to go that far he could be detained at Sing Sing, in Westchester, which with the motorcade escort, is about 35 minutes to the city for trial.

I suppose solitary does have a place in the system, but I’ve long been against it. And now, I’m sort of ashamed to say, I didn’t know some of them were barely tall enough to stand in. I always thought it was mostly the mental abuse I cringed at. (I have heard other things, such as how filthy they are, as well.)

The DA, Cyrus Vance, who is the slime pushing this
vendetta reminds me strongly of Inspector Jabert in
“Les Miserables”. A creature of a foul machine, Jabert
used justice like a whip, and Vance, a Dem machine hack
in the same mold, is a persecutor, not a prosecutor.
Vance is also corrupt. Just look at his handling of the allegations against Winestain.
