Last week, 32-year-old Kate Steinle was murdered at Pier 14 in San Francisco, shot to death by Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, a 45-year old multiple deportee, according to his own words. Sanchez has been charged with murder. He is pleading not guilty, and has claimed the shooting was the result of an “accidental discharge.”
Sanchez is an illegal immigrant. He is also a convicted felon. He has been deported five times and was back here again in San Francisco. Even liberal senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has classified Sanchez as a threat to public safety. But San Francisco is a “sanctuary city” that does not obey or enforce federal immigration laws.
Because of that, this public safety threat was on the street. Because of that, a young woman is dead. So what does San Francisco resident and Representative Nancy Pelosi have to say? Does she blame immigration laws or San Francisco’s flouting of those laws? Not at today’s press conference on Capitol Hill, where she instead placed the blame squarely on the – wait for it – murder weapon.
“Last week in San Francisco our city suffered our own senseless act of gun violence with the killing of Kathryn Steinle,” said Pelosi.
Can we just compromise, & ban her MOUTH instead? 🙄

I had a feeling at the time, but was too drunk to listen to myself, that the real problem was “accidental driving.”

Does anyone remember what Pelosi’s and Feinstein’s position on sanctuary cities was when they first started to appear? Why can’t some enterprising Yank start a gofundme or whatever as a central source of funds to run ads in some of the major liberal papers whenever one of these liberals does something low and despicable like this. Democrats have zero credibility when it comes to crimes and violence involving guns. It is a documented undeniable fact that stolen guns are used in the vast majority of crimes in which guns are used.

The following laws could and should be enacted:
Steal a gun and get ten years, no parole, no time off for any reason for each and every gun stolen.
Use a stolen gun in a commission of a felony and get a ten year enhancement, no parole, no time off for any reason.
Make it possible for any person to access a database in which they can check the serial number of any firearm online in real time to see if it has been reported stolen.
Judges get absolutely NO discretion on these decisions because the judges don’t get to know whether firearms were involved in either case UNTIL after a verdict has been reached. This will keep leftist judges from nullifying the law by not finding the defendants guilty. Prosecutors are barred form disclosing this information and irrespective of any and all plea bargaining if the perp cops to the theft or to the charge, even if it is bargained down the stolen firearms enhancements still apply.
