Pilot program in Georgia grants poor black women $850 per month in guaranteed income

Georgia is hosting a new program that hands out money every month — if you’re of the right race and gender.

A pilot “guaranteed income” program in Georgia called “In Her Hands” will give poor black women in the state $850 per month. This money has no strings attached or stipulations on how it can be spent, and up to 650 women will reportedly be affected under the program’s initial pilot phase.

The program, which will begin in early 2022, will be one of the largest guaranteed income programs in the US, costing over $13 million. The money appears to come from the Georgia Resilience and Opportunity Fund (GROF), alongside GiveDirectly, rather than Georgia taxpayers, Yahoo News reported. more here

Taking property (money) from me for no reason other than giving it to someone else for alleged crimes of my ancestors that you never proved I had anything to do with, or gave me an opportunity to defend myself against because I am not a particular race or gender, kind of violates that whole “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws” thing…

Want to see a group of people affected disproportionately by something? It’s the Keystone Pipeline workers and their families who were affected by Democrat policies.

    Finland had a similar program, where it had a guaranteed income program for its people … and abolished it after 2 years. The usual reasons – waste, fraud, free-lunch bums, etc.

  10. According to Google “Funds for the program appear to come from a mix of private donors and sponsors as well as local and federal funds.” The Atlanta Fed seems to be also providing support if some sort. Federal funds sure sounds like tax dollars.
