President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Scott Bessent for United States Secretary of the Treasury. Bessent, 62, is the founder and CEO of Key Square Capital Group, a macro hedge fund management company. The nominee, who will be in charge of the future president’s economic policy, has been among the most outspoken Trump backers in the financial community.

Trump released a statement announcing the nomination on Friday, saying, “Scott’s story is that of the American Dream.” more here

  2. There’s not one single pick Trump makes that 30 people here aren’t going to bitch about. Employers hire the person they think can bring the most success to their efforts. This guys got a big brain for finance and money. Does he come with baggage? Doesn’t everyone. Occasionally employers hire people they know may be a challenge to manage. But they higher them because they think that person has a particular skill set or talent to bring success. I think the guy will fall in line and do a stellar job.

    Yeah, Labor… Randi Weingarten suggested that Chavez-DeRemer would be a good choice. That has to make her an automatic no.

    We get a labor secretary that the teacher’s union are overjoyed about. A woman who tried to outlaw Right to Work laws.

    Just maybe if enough supporters let him know we’re not happy, he will pull some of these horrible picks. We sure as hell shouldn’t sit here and say well he must playing some 4-D chess bullshit.

    We given the man a task. By a mandate. He’s not a stupid man. There’s things going on that we know nothing about This is a dynamic 3d chess match right now. If we had enough faith in him to hire him I say we let him play this out. We can give him his report card in two years. That’s all I’m saying.
    Also, I read your post about Bondi and red flag laws. And yes I remember that. Fortunately she’s not in a position to influence that one way or another. I guess we need to see how good of litigator she is. I also think Trumps got something else up his sleeve for the deep state. We’ll see.

Who are the earthly saints you’re looking for to take these positions and deal with the dirty work of government? Where in the political/business spheres are the pure of heart, perfect men that Trump should appoint? I’m asking seriously. Whose names are on that list?

    Why elect him and then give his every pick the death of a thousand cuts because they’re sinners? Aren’t we all? I bet God was not pleased with the batch of perverted assholes Biden has in there, either.

    We fight with the army we have, and they will not be perfect. We elected an imperfect man in DJT, but he’s the best man we had for the job, and we need to let him get his crew set up and trust that they’ll do the job they’re hired for or be gone.

    We know they aren’t perfect. None of us are, no matter how well we can quote the Bible. God will deal with their sins. We just need to give them a chance to do their jobs.
