  1. Only 4 days to the greatest celebration of all: Our country’s birthday bash. In these times, it is more than grilling hot dogs, beer drinking, and fireworks. We should all thank the Founding Fathers for what they accomplished from the bottom of our hearts.

  2. Happy Birthday to our southern cousins from the your friend’s up here in the great white north. One thing though, aren’t those french jets throwing the red, white and blue smoke? Those are the colors of their flag as well and those jets look kind of like jaguars.

  3. Thanks MJA and Ghost of BGJG!
Actually, Ernie was a little more that nervous when I hoisted him up on the fender of the Jeep. His leash is conceal behind him and tied off on the footman loop on the hood. He really is a kewl dude!

  4. First of all, there should be a pictorial reminder that it is the Constitution that has kept this country free, up to now. It is not the flag, or the national anthem. We are losing our freedom in plain sight. Let’s hope that our own US Military is up to par in their oaths to protect and defend. So I am a party pooper, but too many Americans are hurting because of the following truth.

Americans need to be reminded that it is not the flag, it is not the national anthem that this nation is founded on. It is the Constitution that is the foundation of our country’s independent existence. Losing that foundation is bringing down this country from a free country into a country of enslavement and deprivation. Obviously, the masses of illegals and unvetted immigrants being brought into the USA are not making any pledges of loyalty to or submission to the Constitutional laws required in any naturalization process, of which there are none. They are coming in as enemies of the state, willing and able to be subversive as benefitted parasites.

“I pledge allegiance to the Constitution of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God , indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

How patriotism among American immigrants is uniquely linked to the country’s founding document

At the end of the naturalization process, all immigrants are required to take a public oath of allegiance—not to the president, or even to the United States per se, but to the Constitution. It’s an act few native-born Americans ever consciously perform: publicly and patriotically affirming the nation’s founding charter.
