The Independent Journal Review has always been a weirdo site. It had good stories but it always had a click-baity feel that made it seem like the right’s Buzzfeed.
Hiring the known plagiarist, the Buzzfeed cast-off Bennie Johnson, as a chief muckety-muck was probably the reason the site had a similar feel.
But I continued to give them the benefit of the doubt because.. well. I dunno. Loyalty to the right?
But their latest hire is the end for me.
They just welcomed aboard Tommy Christopher, a truly loathsome leftist character.
I’m done.
I have little patience for sites suffering from identity crisis, particularly ones that are, above all, financially driven.
This latest move seems to be an attempt to appeal to a wider audience to improve the bottom line.
Unfortunately the “wider audience” they are trying to capture includes the kind of leftist dipchit that Tommy Christopher would appeal to.
