Townhall: Things have been utter chaos in Kenosha, Wisconsin. When the riots first began, a rioter pulled a gun out on a reporter. An elderly man attempted to defend his business and the mob beat him to a bloody pulp. Things seem to have calmed down a bit and now people are assessing the damage, including an Indian immigrant whose entire business went up in flames.
The Sunday Times’ Josh Glancy walked through Kenosha and snapped pictures of the wreckage. The worst part, however, was that locals say it was people from out of town that caused the destruction and chaos.
Spent the last 36 hours walking around Kenosha in a daze. Large swathes of the city are indistinguishable from a war zone.
Blame it on the people elected to protect their community. Period. When Blake was shot, TPTB should have immediately let it be known that anything one step beyond peaceful protesting would be met with extreme countermeasures.
And followed through. But they’re gutless cowards. Afraid of…what? BLM will call them racist? Will attack them? Will burn down businesses…oh wait, they did that. Anyway.
Hey, they wanted that job, the job to protect their community and mealy mouthing bullshit ain’t cutting it.
That fucking Portland mayor takes 1st Prize yesterday for that speech. After 90!!! straight days of watching his city destroyed & looted, claiming “peaceful protests, now suddenly they’re violent and of course it’s the President’s fault. Hey, they voted for him.
The destruction will continue to the extent it’s allowed.
If, as they claim, that it was all the damage was caused by out of town instigators then why didn’t the locals who were protesting separate themselves, try to stop them or just leave. No, if locals were on the streets with them then you were part of the destruction.
The protesters are no longer protesters.
Once the looting starts, they’re ALL looters.
Guess what my Petey B likes to loot and burn to the ground in the name of “Social Homo Justice?” My unbleached elastic starfish!
COPS SHOULD JUST STAND DOWN
Seriously, they are doing zero good what-so-ever. Once they are out of the way, the non-crazies can fight back without fear of a trial.
Thanks cops, you’re really helping out there. People getting beat and stomped to death.
The locals needed out of town help to do what was done.
You rub the lamp of the mob, don’t be surprised when the uncontrollable genie of destruction appears.
…war zone, eh? Not even a NUCLEAR war zone has destruction as complete or long lasting as Democrat governance…

…all Democrat cities are the same, some run by them for 60 years, seems to be a trend for…some reason…

BLM tried to stir up shit in our city. Within minutes they were surrounded by police the second they stepped off the sidewalks, arrested, and booked. That’s how you deal with this shit. let them plead their cause in court. Fuck’em. The organizer who obtained the permit for the “protest” was fined for not maintaining control of the group within city limits. I know it sounds lame but if you load these a-holes up with misdemeanor charges and fines eventually they figure out that it just isn’t worth the cause. If they get violent, bust some heads for disorderly conduct and let them sit in jail for a couple of days. Just keep the pressure on and you find out real quick how dedicated they really are.
There are some good people stepping forward to help clean up Kenosha:
…cleaning up is nice, but what makes a Detroit a Detroit, what makes a Watts a Watts, what makes South Central LA what it is, is that the compact with the govered has been broken, that residents and businesses have no reason for confidence that the SAME people who sold them to a mob BEFORE won’t do it again.
That same govenment can’t be trusted to protect their lilihoods, their homes, their very lives.
That same govenment will arrest THEM if they try to protect THEMSELVES.
…so they will NOT rebuild.
…they’re won’t be any insurance because most policies have a “Force Marjorie” clause that says if any event causes damage completely beyond the reasonable expectations of the insurer, that event is not insured.
Riots are force majorie.
Some policies even specifically exclude “civil unrest”. Because it’s tough for insurance companies to know when some rapist is going to beat up cops and try to get a knife out of his kid-filled car and get shot for it so it could be blown up all over YouTube.
…Democrats say, “it’s just property”. When it’s the “property” I spent a lifetime building, when it’s property I feed my family with, when it’s property I shelter my family in, it’s not JUST property.
It’s where I keep my LIFE.
It took them a LIFETIME to build it, only to have it destroyed in an evening, while Govenment watched and did NOTHING.
It took a lifetime to build.
Can you give them ANOTHER lifetime to build it AGAIN?
…no, they won’t be back. Clean the streets though you may, you can’t clean the politics. Businesses that depended on those that were lost will then leave, actual working people will follow in search of jobs, government will squeeze those that remain to make up for it to pay for the sharp increase in the indolent and idle, crime will run rampant, Atlas will shrug, and another Detroit is born.
They won’t be back.
Democrats destroy. It’s what they do.
And as long as they are in charge, nothing they are in charge OF can recover.
Clean the streets?
You’d be better to clean out the mansions of the Mayors and Governors.
Until you do, your efforts are in vain.
Good on you for trying, but you’re just wiping out a symptom.
The disease goes merrily on…
Nailed it 1,000% SNS.
Send the bill to the REV-A-RUNDS Jackson & Sharpton.
THEY’LL know how to get in touch with BLM. 😉
The question I would like to ask them is “Will you still vote for Democrats?”
@SNS — I’m not a lawyer, but I started my career as a contract negotiator and am familiar with Force Majeure and Acts of God clauses. You’re right, both are foundational in most commerical contracts, like home owner’s or business insurance. And both have been discussed a lot lately since the Covid19 pandemic. It will be interesting to see what the lawyers are able to do in light of these riots.
Something I’ve thought about in terms of force majeure is that although a business or home may be damaged or destroyed by an act of faceless rioting, there are, actually, individuals who throw the incendiary (arson), or smash the glass (destruction), or loot the home/business (theft). So, maybe — just maybe — by continuing to call these events a “peaceful protest” is a good thing for business owners. And there is more than enough video/audio evidence that what we are witnessing are protests, not riots. The paper of record says they are protests. ABC, NBC, CBS, NPR all say they are protests. Now then, whether Blacks Law and insurance case law see it that way may be another thing.
Nonetheless, if individuals can be identified acting as arsonists, smashers, and thieves, I would think those individuals can be charged with those crimes — as individuals. And if that is so, then it would seem insurance companies cannot rely on force majeure as a defense for not paying out.
The question of insurance coverage and what course insurance companies take will pose a dilemma for lawmakers, mayors and governors who have forced this lawlessness on the public. If the insurance companies win on the assertion that these are are acts of rioting and are not covered, then elected officials haven’t a leg to stand on in calling them “protests”. And if individuals can be found guilty of individual crimes as part of a “protest”, mayors, governors and police are complicit to the extent they did nothing to ameliorate the crimes that were taking place right in front of them, in real time. Either way, I hope those responsible for the loss of businesses and property are held to account. It may all come down to how insurance companies respond.
The NBA wants to turn every stadium into a polling place. Let’s turn every burned-out business into a polling place so the voters can get an up-close view of Democrat policies right as they vote.

…so, best case for the insured is that they decide it’s NOT my terrible spelling of Force Majeure and pay out, then they take it out on ME with higher rates for me and everyone in the Nation, to make up for what some basement dweller did on the leftmost city in the Lower 48.
…not thrilled with THAT answer, either…
” it was people from out of town that caused the destruction and chaos. ”
No one saw the Craigslist ads for paid ‘protest actors’?
They all work for the clinton/bush/obama/soros conspiracy.
Send an inflated cleanup bill to the 269 companies that are funding BLM. $20 for each small bit of paper picked up, $50 for each heavier piece of debris picked up, seems a fair place to start.
If they want to recover some of their lost money, let them hire investigators to track down the people secretly funding BLM-Antifa and make them pay their share of the bill.
We need more Kyles, the best thing that could ever happen is they make it legal for any American citizen to use lethal force against anyone throwing a bomb, starting a fire, breaking a window, etc. Give Americans that legal cover and this would end tomorrow.

One of the trademarks of Dimwit gatherings is they make a big mess and never clean it up.
typical d-rat behavior – take a dump then leave so someone else can wipe up. exemplified by con-gress.
The people footing the bill for this should pay.
Re-election RICO party!
@SNS — I’m pretty sure our insurance rates will be going up anyway, if you live in or near a Democrat-run city/town. Although they probably won’t say it in so many words, these areas will definitely fall under a high risk pool, just like living in earthquake country or in a flood plain. The House (insurance companies) always wins.
Maybe the silver lining will be that insurance companies will pressure Democrat-run areas by removing their support for their political policies. Health insurance companies have already done this in counties/states which have kept their exchanges.
