Sanders Doesn’t Believe in Charitable Work

Sanders firmly believes it’s the role of the state to be in the business of “taking care of people.”

Powerline –

From a 1981 New York Times story, revealing Bernie Sanders as the full totalitarian he is underneath his “democratic” socialism:

For the kickoff of the 40th annual Chittenden County United Way fund-raising drive in Burlington, Vt., the sponsors considered themselves fortunate to have as guests Mayor Bernard Sanders of Burlington and Gov. Richard Snelling of Vermont. . .

”I don’t believe in charities,” said Mayor Sanders, bringing a shocked silence to a packed hotel banquet room. The Mayor, who is a Socialist, went on to question the ”fundamental concepts on which charities are based” and contended that government, rather than charity organizations, should take over responsibility for social programs.

  1. The purpose, of course, is to make gov’t the sole arbiter of society. To atomize the population. To make every man seem alone and only to be succored by gov’t. A citizen can have NO OTHER LOYALTY than to the State – no other allegiance than to the party – no other GOD than socialism.

The premise is very similar, if not precisely the same as, izlam – or any other sick, statist, totalitarian philosophy.

    izlamo delenda est …

  2. It’s all about having the money go them first. Somewhere I read Welfare and housing $.17 of the dollar goes to the recipients.
As an added bonus they can control everybody from cradle-to-grave.

  3. There is one repulsive thing that is worse than all others that make a turd like Sanders so disgusting: his dandruff, BO, bad breath, unkempt appearance, etc….
.. it is this jerk’s beliefs.
