Last Sunday I was asked to pick up a squirrel I had caught for a customer.
On the way there, he sent me a photo of what was happening in the mean time.
I thought you might enjoy this. I found the squirrels in this area were more active at night than during the day. I thought this was VERY strange until I saw this.
For the record. The squirrel gets released in my yard, 20 miles away, unharmed.
Your contributions are always enjoyable, Claudia.

To me it looks like they are all singing the very first note of “OOOOO-klahoma where the wind comes sweeping down the plaaai-nnn!”
This is hands down my new favorite edition of your Critters, Claudia! I don’t know how you do it, but you always manage to top yourself, week to week. Thanks for a terrific collection!
Don’t be blasphemous. That’s how we got our esteemed POTUS.
😛
I’m with you, Liz.
Great job, Claudia!
That last picture is the vision I get in my mind when reading threads about two certain politicians that I won’t name on this thread!
Great pics Claudia!
I see the ever present fox picture.
Listen to the fox cries in this video. Once, when I was hunting in a forest, I heard this this cry before daylight (listen at the 1:05 mark). It was very unnerving because is sounded like an infant crying out in agony. My instinct was to go find it. Of course when I approached in the dark they ran away and I found nothing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxLHUxzEoRU
.
Jethro, I was watching the video and when the vixens were fighting, Zoe kitty came running into the room to see what the chaos was all about!
We woke up one night to the oddest noise ever. I thought it sounded like a Canada goose in distress…but upon further investigation, it was the local mama fox, very distressed at a big old cat that must have been eyeing her babies.
And Jethro, my pup Tucker just did a jump up barking and looking out the window at the sound of your video! 😀 Must be noises that get cats and dogs worked up!
There is a fox den near my house. A few years back my daughter came into my bedroom late at night because she thought something horrible was happening outside. It was a vixen screaming. I sat up with my daughter and listened for a while to confirm. I then went outside and made some noise and it ran away. My daughter wasn’t afraid after that.
What? No sound files?
Great collection, Claudia. Thanks.
Singing critters!
Doesn’t get any better than that!
Make a joyful noise –
When yer hungry or horny…
As always, another great collection Sunday collection!
Yea,All those beautiful critters just “evolved” from amino acids
in a pool of pre-historic water that got struck by lightning…
PRIASE THE LORD!
Betting they make a better sounding chorus than Feminists.
