11 Comments on “So God Made a Patriot”, narrated by Fred Thompson
Thanks, this is perfectly appropriate with Veteran’s Day being 3 days away on Wednesday. What can I say that Fred Thompson didn’t. God bless all the patriots and every American veteran who has ever served and sacrificed for this nation from the time of our founding till now. This needs to be reposted on Veteran’s Day to remind us of the heritage of all the patriots who have come before us. May God bless all the patriots and veterans out there, just because we earned it by our service to this nation in whatever capacity we served.
My Dad was a patriot. Volunteered for the Marines, and was accepted during WWII.
Tarawa and Saipan.
Hehehe!
I have always appreciated Lloyd Marcus. Brilliant man and great patriot. Thanks for the link, Magnum.
I got to thinking…(this is usually where everyone bails out)…”Thank you for your service”. I’m not a veteran, but to me that sounds like another version of “Have a nice day” or “Happy Holidays”. It just sounds so goddam fucking wrong.
I mean, wasn’t that a common compliment for the gas attendants at a Texaco station in the 50s?
