A Metro Nashville police officer was shot in an ambush while responding to a “set up” call falsely reporting an active shooter at a home in South Nashville…
…Three officers knocked on the door to the residence. The door opened, and when officers began to make entry into the home, the caller opened fire, striking Officer Brian Sherman in the left arm.
Officers retreated from the home and 22-year-old Salman Mohamed followed them outside into the driveway armed with a rifle. Officers began to negotiate with the man, but he shot himself in the head. He died shortly after of his wounds. More

At least the officer is alive. Several years ago, we had a rookie cop shot in the face and killed during a routine traffic stop. The shooter had just gotten out on early release from prison and was on parole. Cops came from all over the state for the funeral, and all the overpasses were filled with people for the procession.
Officers never even upholstered their weapons, but BLM (and their like) will declare them at fault and demand their badges or worse.
I think they get off on having the power to commit injustice at this point.

We had a guy set his house on fire, call it in, go to the other end, and start shooting at the first responder. He was a terrible shot though, so he didn’t get him. Cops got him to surrender when his part of the house started burning.
Wasn’t political as far as I know. Guy was just nuts.
Ya never know when the call comes in, what it REALLY is.
…and they want to have unarmed psychologists instead of police respond based on the phone call alone…

Notice in the article at the link the writer immediately tries to make it about the 2nd amendment;

Yeah…like that had anything to do with this cowardly attack.
How about calling out the muslim who obviously tried to ambush and murder police officers, probably while shouting “All New Snackbar” or whatever bullshit they typically say when slaughtering infidels!
