Stop With the Climate Shaming for LA’s Configuration

California Globe

Claiming that these fires are because of climate change is patently absurd. I don’t think anyone who just watched their home and neighborhood and their kids’ schools burn to the ground is thinking “that damned climate change…”

Most people actually know that the “climate change” moniker is the latest catch-all for dull and deceitful politicians, and low-information journalists as cover for their incompetence and corruption. It’s also a good excuse for politicians to redistribute taxpayer funds to shady NGOs and non-profit organizations which claim that more public money will solve the climate problem – eventually. More

  1. I find it infuriating that any call for accountability is met with “Don’t politicize this.” There are a lot of people in positions they should not be in, but to question their obvious lack of competence is met with scorn.

  2. Santa Ana winds show up EVERY TIME a high pressure system parks itself over the Colorado plateau with a low pressure system over the LA Basin. Nothing NEW about this. Empty reservoirs, useless white-male-hating lesbians in charge, slashed budgets, overpaid POC DWP heads, etc….those are new to the equation.

  3. “I swear teacher. I had my assignment all done last night, but climate change made my paper burst into flames.”

“Gotta work late again at the office honey. My secretary and eye are organizing the bank’s strategy for dealing with climate change.”

“Sorry I forgot your birthday again, but this climate change has got me totally stressed out.”

“Sorry I’m late boss, but climate change caused my car to overheat.”

“Just because you work 50 hours per week, pay all the bills, and fix things around the house doesn’t make you a good husband! You drove me into my boss’ bed because he’s a REAL man! He files lawsuits against building new reservoirs because he’s fighting climate change!!!”

I tried to explain the water wars here last night. I’m not sure I did a very good job. But bottom line is NorCal has all the water. Which is not enough to keep that desert down in SoCal green. None the less, they want it ALL. We’ve resisted. Their other easy option is the Colorado River System. Which is in a big mess. The option they’ve needed to take for the last 30 years is a shit load of water desalinization plants. But after thinking about it a little bit I’ve concluded the 12 angry lezbos on the Coastal Commission will never let that happen. Bottom line, not my problem. I know groups of Bass Fisherman that have talked about blowing up the pumps for the Delta Mendota canals. We all know exactly where they’re located.
