  1. “Let every nation [and communist ingrate] know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” President John F. Kennedy

Indeed, until I have lost every ounce of sweat, have spilled every drop of my blood, I will fight for the liberty of this country.

  2. When in England at a fairly large conference, Colin Powell was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.

He answered by saying that, “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.”

It became very quiet in the room. You could have heard a pin drop.

Have never heard that story before. That was a nuke dropped on England. It’s almost enough to make me respect Powell….almost.

  4. When I was a young lad back in the late ’60s early ’70’s, I hung around the college crowd at the U of I.
These people that were interviewed could have been that crowd.
    Indoctrinated, ignorant, and coddled.

  5. Evidently none of them have ever had the kind of job where Memorial day is a paid holiday instead of a “Would you like fries with that” regular kinda day.

  6. Most of us who have passed that arrogant know-it-all stage of life would love to be able to go back and erase the things we said and did when we thought we knew it all. Sadly, I don’t think the generation blabbing their ignorance now will ever regret anything they’ve said or done. They will never pass their stage of ignorance because sensible thinking is a thing of the past – older generations have remained in a sophomoric state because of slavish adherence to the Democrat party and the mainstream media.
