“The Revolution did away with racism in Cuba.”

Babalu Blog: Hablemos Press, Francisco Herodes Díaz Echemendía, Santiago de Cuba, 11 September 2015 –Let it be known that in Cuba there is no law about or against racism. According to those who concur with Fidel and Raúl Castro, racism is a capitalist thing, found in racist regimes like that of South Africa, or of pre-1959 Cuba. Also, according to the fundamentalists of the Communist
Party of Cuba, “the Revolution did away with racism in Cuba.”

But the fact is that in light of this assertion by the regime, which so poorly governs the destinies of the country, there is daily evidence to the contrary in the streets. There, at times hidden, at times evident, racism can be seen in all spheres of society. And it is always the same thing, be it in the cultural sphere, in higher education, in public health (more than 60% of physicians are white), and even in the dramas aired on Cuban television.  more here

  1. Being a Communist politician, it’s easy to solve problems:

    RACISM?
Eliminate talk of RACES. No races? No racism.

    WEALTH INEQUALITY?
Eliminate wealth (well…OF COURSE EXCEPT for YOURSELF). No wealth? No wealth inequality.

GEE! Communism sure SOUNDS “easy”….. /sarc

  2. Che Guevara’s racist remarks

The following quotes in which Che Guevara is expressing racist thoughts should be included. They are all taken from his own biography; The Motorcycle Diaries:

“The blacks, those magnificent examples of the African race who have maintained their racial purity thanks to their lack of an affinity with bathing, have seen their territory invaded by a new kind of slave: the Portuguese.”

“The black is indolent and a dreamer; spending his meager wage on frivolity or drink; the European has a tradition of work and saving, which has pursued him as far as this corner of America and drives him to advance himself, even independently of his own individual aspirations.”

Yeah, I can see what they mean.

  3. Cuba was a slave colony until liberated by America in 1898 – so racism forms the CORE of their shithole country. And fuck racist slave-owning Castro and all those racist white Marxist fuckers.

  4. I wonder what the author thinks of BET or any of the hundreds of other overtly racist publications and media here in the US?
La Raza rivals the KKK as a promoter of racial superiority even though Hispanic is not a race.
This author, being a racist, is offended by anything that has too many white people. Otherwise one of the Cuban periodicals that deals only with darker skinned people would have been included.
