What I’m about to tell you is a very personal and precious memory that I have refused to talk about during this campaign season, although some that knew me back then have heard about it. I’m breaking my silence in response to an ad depicting a mother suggesting her “son would have no place in Donald Trump’s world.”
During about 2003-2009, I did a lot of traveling, speaking to advocacy groups about autism, special education and healthcare/TennCare issues. After a particularly difficult speech, for which my notes had flown off the top of my car onto I-65, I stepped out into the hallway to cry. This was not how I envisioned my life would be, telling strangers about my daughter’s behaviors and tantrums. It was not a job I wanted. But as I sat down against the wall and stroked A’s face on the framed photo of her I always brought to those engagements, I quietly prayed (aloud) that telling our story would make a difference.
I hadn’t noticed that a man had entered the corridor and was standing a few feet away, along with another man and a woman, sheepishly waiting for me to stop praying. As I stood up from the floor with A’s picture, he walked over to me and asked, “Is that your [daughter]? She’s beautiful, just precious.” He went on to tell me that he had heard part of my speech as they were leaving another conference room near ours and stopped to listen. He spent another 10 minutes or so, asking questions and listening intently to my answers. When he excused himself, he motioned to the woman to come over, took a long slip of paper (for all I knew) from her and folded it, then handed it to me. “I don’t want your [daughter] to have to go without therapy while you’re fighting with TennCare. This is your backup plan.”
My daughter had a place in Donald Trump’s world when he had absolutely nothing to gain from it. There was no tax right-off. No politics being played. He heard; he cared; he took action. That’s all I have to say about Donald Trump…other than it’s the man in the hall for whom I’m voting.

Wow.
Just Wow.
izlamo delenda est …
“Hillary did that for me and my family,” said no one ever.
Dude. You are totally destroying the official narrative that Trump is a greedy, uncaring monster.
Beautiful.
He is humble where it actually matters “in God’s Kingdom World”.
He is boastful and brash where it matters in the “secular world”.
I believe he has shown in many of these stories we hear that he is a good person who tries to be a better person and who loves people and this country.
GO TRUMP!
You can tell the character of a person by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.
Eternal shame on Bill Kristol and his ilk
This is the same man that waited with Carson at one of the debates when Carson missed his introduction . He seems to be an actually very kind and good person
Trump.
That bastard just made me cry.
Just a bit, though.
I loved this story; reinforces to me that my instincts about him were right. Thank you for posting it.
What little I know of Donald Trump, I’ve told you before that I worked in his buildings, THAT’S a story I believe. I doubt if ephenopolous or Kelly will bring it up any time soon.
i am not on facebook and never will be, so suspicious why the link does not work
i completed believe the story, wondering if facebook has removed it as is typical for their leftist slant
i did find it somewhere else

go trump, climbing up in the the liberal poll numbers
@Aggie. I remember that very well. Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich hesitated but walked on by. A true gentleman. He sensed there was a foul-up and stood by the good doctor.
Aggie,
I will never forget Trump standing next to Carson. That was the moment I knew I wanted him to be our guy.
Despite the naysayers, nevertrumpsters and those that believe he is just a trojan horse that is on this with Hillary from the beginning ( which I never bought for a second), the man loves his country and the people in it.
Where did I read yesterday that Eric Trump helped some woman push her stalled car off the road and got her some water, etc.? I’m tired. lol.
But that was nice thing to do.
She ought to send that unsolicited to the NYT. I’m sure they’ll give it the front page treatment that they give all the unsolicited and unverified Trump stories they receive. Oh wait, this one may well be verifiable if they made a call. Guess that lets this out.
Hillary listened to my impassioned pleas for the cause that was so close to my heart. Afterward she sent a man over to me who compassionately told me if I would donate $250,000.00 to the Clinton Foundation she would arrange a meeting with a lawmaker who might be able to help my cause.

Thank you !
Well … well … I once kicked a bum … but not in the teeth!
And … and … Barry gives blowjobs to guys he don’t know … and Hillary (God Bless her) takes money from ANYBODY – she NEVER discriminates!
Just got the goosebumps. Even though I know people like him, therefore I feel I know his heart, I still got the goosebumps.
If everyone understood that no one is actually good but God, people wouldn’t be so judgemental in the first place.
Trump is the best hope we have, at this turn in history, to fight the evil that the left brings us in America.
We may be wrong about Trump’s effect on our future, but we know Hill is the worst that can happen right now.
YEAH! FUCK YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!
T H A T IS THE REAL DONALD TRUMP.
I absoluteley despise the disgusting despicable Mainstream Media who will eagerly LIE to help their fellow co-Leftist Clinton STEAL this rigged election.
Greedy people (see: Democrat) don’t ever do anything even remotely like this with their own money. Never.
The man has a compassionate heart.
He’s chivalrous.
Hillary has never don’t anything like this. She even stole donations to Haitians during hurricane relief fund drives.
