In 2011, security officers of the University of California -UC Davis applied a health dose of pepper spray to protestors conducting a sit in on the campus.
Images and video of the pepper spraying quickly went viral leaving administrators for the state funded school grasping for means to minimize the damage to their reputation.
They decided to hire a consulting firm at $15,000 a month to remove reference and images of the incident from Google.
The consultants were also to advise the chancellor on “brand enhancement.”
That happened at UC Davis. THose poor darlings.
He had a blast.
Yeah, he had a blast alright, for about a week. He was fired faster than any California public employee ever.

All Too Much is right. Headline error. UC Davis, not Santa Cruz.
If it had been the Santa Cruz Banana Slugs, the cop would’ve used salt, not pepper spray.
I miss the good old days when batons were splitting heads open.
Well played, Uncle Al.
Another example of the Streisand Effect.
