UK Prosecutors Declare Parts of the Bible Inappropriate to Use in Public

Lawyers for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) of England and Wales tried to have a Christian street preacher convicted for quoting the Bible to a lesbian couple, insisting that scripture is “no longer appropriate in modern society “.

The extraordinary case, mounted in what is still nominally a Christian church, with an established church in which the head of state serves as Supreme Governor, was brought against armed forces veteran and throat cancer survivor John Dunn, after the police referred him to prosecutors for telling a lesbian couple that it “says in the Bible that homosexuals will not inherit the kingdom of God” in Swindon. 1. Queers are going to see what harassment, alarm and distress is all about when they are swimming in a lake of fire.

  2. No surprises here. They’ve cancelled everyone else who disagrees with them. God has been the primary target all along. They want to simultaneously rid themselves of supreme judgement and any obligation to humble themselves to moral authority.

    “God In The Dock”:

“God in the Dock is a collection of previously unpublished essays and speeches from C. S. Lewis, collected from many sources after his death. Its title implies “God on Trial” and the title is based on an analogy made by Lewis suggesting that modern human beings, rather than seeing themselves as standing before God in judgement, prefer to place God on trial while acting as his judge.”

Woe, woe, woe, be unto them.

The Church of England is deader than the door nails on the door of the Wittenberg castle church building. And that goes double for each of the churches in the UK who refused to comment.

If Dunn’s case had gone forward, as his lawyer, I would have argued that the CoE no longer has standing in the matter since it has broken covenant with the living God of the Christian Bible and His Church.

  4. The effort is on to make the confines of a church the only place one can practice one’s religion. And as we saw during COVID, even that is not can be curtailed.

  5. Originally based on Christian ideals?
    Run by Christians now?
    Hell no!
Isn’t that the root of the problem?

  6. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
There is none righteous, no not one.
We are all an unclean thing and our righteous acts are like filthy rags.
The Bible hits us all and hard. It’s Gods love telling us the truth and that He is the way the truth and the life!
