A new program in Oakland California that provides some universal basic income for struggling families but only if they are people of color and not white has been launched.
According to Yahoo Finance, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf said the approach was about “equity.”
Schaaf said “we have a well-documented racial wealth gap in this country, 10 times asset poverty. We have, in Oakland, documented three times a difference in median incomes between our white families and our Black families.” more here
“Equity”, of course.
All I know is when these recipients devolve totally, to the point of being totally dependent for all things, it will be the leftist know-it-all who must be held accountable for the genital washing.
Next the A’s will either move or change their name to the ‘B’s’ with a capital letter, because, Black. A’s is a harsh term demeaning fatties. Athletics indeed. Oh and the elephant, can’t have the GOP in town.
Democrats are cunts. The only reason this is legal is because it’s privately funded. But you can bet with 100% certainty that if someone privately funded a program that only gave cash to poor white people, the fucking government would find a way to make that illegal or simply pretend like it was.

Wonder if the reasons for that difference, things like pursuing education, looking for and keeping work instead of using public assistance to delay or avoid it, personal standards of self responsibility for your life, all that sort of stuff, were also documented to see if there is a gap there as well?
If not, we’re seeing the symptoms of the problem and not the problem itself. And if we don’t address the problem because we don’t know what it is, we can’t fix it.

This may be privately funded but it is being administered by the City of Oakland, which should make it illegal discrimination.
So white median income is greater than black median income. No problem. Get some of those wealthier white folks to move out, which will shift the white median down. Problem solved! Now everyone can be poor!

It’s a $5,400,000 program. They don’t say whose $5,400,000 will be wasted on candy, soda pop, chips and beer – not to mention drugs.
Winners must be present to receive that money. Use that stimulus check for transportation for the whole family. Some waiting may be necessary.
I had the pleasure(?) of being in Oakland about 1 year ago. Miles of tents on sidewalks and under highways. Garbage and needles everywhere. Honest to god zombies walking around, shaking or shouting or talking to themselves.
Wild. You’d look down the street and I’ve been in absolute small town poverty in Mexico, this was much worse.
Was just in Seattle and had to hoof it through the Mission part of town to get to the ferry. Unreal. Poop and needles everywhere.

Technically you are correct. I assume then, that you know that in the spectrum of color, black is the absence of color.
White, on the other hand, is a color. So I will accept the libs’ pandering gesture at buying my vote. Although. technically I am more pink, tan or brown, depending on the time of year and how much exposure to the sun I have had.
