  1. For the police to prioritize property crime committed against any elected or appointed official over the same type of offense committed against any and all legal residents or legal visitors to the jurisdiction should be grounds to remove anyone and everyone in the decision making chain from office or to fire them and bar them from ever holding public office again or working in any capacity in law enforcement. Period. Full stop.

  2. An older car with a 3 on a tree manual transmission and no power steering which we called Armstrong steering and headlight dimmer switches on the floor next to your foot would totally befuddle young punks. Let alone no safety equipment, no seat belts, hard metal dashboards, vent windows, hand cranked window openers, bias ply tires etc. that maybe lasted 30,000 miles and a jillion zircs underneath the engine (grease sockets for lubing the cars suspension). Oh, and inefficient 6-volt electrical systems. Oh, the joys of driving an old car, yes and no.

  3. First gripe is with the reporting of “by children.” No. While we are all children of somebody, These are not innocents. Secondly, if you haven’t apprehended them, then how do you know “children?” Minors like these easy crimes, and adults use them as the courts tend to mistakenly “go easy” on minors. This makes it a game for the thieves.

There’s more men that need hanging than Kias that need stealing.
