Frankly, I hate when right-wing blogs identify Margaret Sanger as a eugenicist. It’s accurate, but it’s accurate to a fault. It flies over the head of most people. People don’t know what eugenics is. If the word doesn’t land, don’t use it.
Call Sanger what she was- an out and out racist. One of the worst.
In a letter to Clarence Gable in 1939, Sanger wrote about getting Black preachers to help with her efforts:
“We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members”
David Kennedy wrote in his book, “The Career of Margaret Sanger,” that in a 1923 speech, Sanger said she believed that, for the purpose of racial “purification,” couples should be rewarded who chose sterilization.
In 1923, the founder of Planned Parenthood wanted to create a perfect human race, ““We want a world freer, happier, cleaner — we want a race of thoroughbreds.”
And who loves her some Margaret Sanger?
During a March 27, 2009 speech accepting the Margaret Sanger Award from Planned Parenthood, Clinton talked about being in awe of the racist eugenicist:
Hillary is in awe of an avowed racist.
