I started the ‘read the Bible in a year’, not necessarily sticking to the calendar though. But I just finished the first 5. If you read beyond just the 10 Commandments it is pretty clear that the commandment is not to murder, as God both tells the Israelites to kill all (and I do mean all) of unclean nations, and also to create ‘sanctuary cities’ for people who accidentally kill another. Which, pre-OSHA 🙂 , was a lot more common then.

I’ve recently been learning (or trying to learn) about the concept (or doctrine) of election. It’s really helping me to understand that the fulfillment of the church before harpazo occurs is so much more a possibility than I had thought.
Bottom line: People like Goldberg and Hostin have rejected God outright. Maybe they were called, maybe they weren’t; elected or not. Two fewer people to worry about whether or not they seek God. We’re in the last days and I’m relieved to know we don’t have to wait forever to achieve the fullness of the church.

“Thou shalt not kill” is actually a bad translation of the Hebrew. The commandment is more like “You shall not MURDER”. There is obviously a difference between killing and murder. Killing can be lawful, as in the case of capital punishment, self-defense, or war. Murder, by definition is the UNLAWFUL killing of a human by another.

They have rejected the God of the Bible and made their own. Highly likely their Gods differ from each other. Just like Oprah’s does. Very custom made Gods to suit themselves individually.

The last verse is particularly ironic. View harpies want to eliminate as many orphans as possible.
Except it is not “Thou shalt not kill”, the correct translation from the Old Testament which is in Hebrew is “Thou shalt not murder” which makes sense, since not all killing is murder.
But if you go back to the literal translation of רצח, from the Hebrew Bible, the preferred translation is murder.
So yes, the 10 Commandments are against murder, including the murder of the defenseless life in the womb.
Throughout the Bible murder is condemned, hurting the innocent is condemned. Christ even said it.

That is referring to little children.
God will go easy on Judgement Day when those who murder defenseless life in the womb stand before Him.

The operative words are: “anyone” and “everyone”
As best as I can understand, the Oprah’s, Whoopi’s and Hostin’s of the world have been given the saving grace of the blood of Jesus, as much as it has been given to all of us. If they choose to create their own version of God and content themselves with their “safe” version of him, that is their free will choice. That is the wide gate that leads to destruction.
