GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) – Four-year-old Miah Wheeler and her family are going to Walt Disney World! It’s all thanks to the officers at the Gainesville Police Department — namely one officer at GPD — and the generous donations from people across Central Florida and the nation.

It’s good to see a story that restores faith in Mankind to be able to do something for no other reason other than to be generous.
As nice as this is, and I don’t mean to take anything away from it. But, wouldn’t it be nice if little Miah had the same last name as her mother?
@Mr. Mxyzptlk: Yes, it would be wonderful if all children’s parents never divorced and remarried. Sad that it is more the exception than the rule nowadays, isn’t it?

Viet vet, seeing that they’re black, my guess is there never was a wedding and divorce. And therein lies one of the biggest problems in that community. I wonder how many other kids she has by different men.
