Rand Paul: ‘I Will Fight Obama Tooth and Nail’ on Executive Gun Control

Breitbart: […] Paul pointed out his concern that Obama’s method of attacking gun rights ends up isolating the Second Amendment, making it seem like the protections on the right to keep and bear arms are really outside of normal constitutional protections.

Paul countered this view by saying, “The Second Amendment is part of the Bill of Rights and it is as important as the rest of the Bill of Rights. It is not some odd duckling out there. And the media, I don’t think, would be reporting Obama’s actions the same way if, by executive order, he was going to make journalists register.”  MORE

  1. Rand,
We need you in the Senate.
Stay there, and drop out of the race for President, please?

Then get Rick, Huck, Carly, Kasig, Boosh, Christie, and everyone else but Cruz and Trump to DROP OUT.

  2. As I type this Fox news has Mark Kelly on supporting Obama on guns. This is the same piece of shit that committed a felony by trying to buy a gun for someone else. The gun store owner stopped the sale when he figured it out. He is using his injured wife to get his ugly face on TV and to make money, which makes me sick. Did I say he was a piece of shit?

  3. Buying a gun for someone else is not a felony unless they are giving you the money to buy it for them because they are ineligible to purchase one their self.

You can buy a gun as a gift to another. Happens every day. Quite legal.

Check out page 4 question about 11a on form 4473. It gives examples of this.

You are also the actual transferee/buyer if you are legitimately purchasing the firearm as a gift for a third party. ACTUAL TRANSFEREE/BUYER EXAMPLES: Mr.Smith asks Mr. Jones to purchase a firearm for Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith gives Mr. Jones the money for the firearm. Mr. Jones is NOT THE ACTUAL TRANS-FEREE/BUYER of the firearm and must answer “NO” to question 11.a. The licensee may not transfer the firearm to Mr. Jones. However, if Mr. Brown goes to buy a firearm with his own money to give to Mr. Black as a present, Mr. Brown is the actual transferee/buyer of the firearm and should answer “YES” to question 11.a.

Notice you can legitimately buy someone a firearm as a gift.

The FFL can refuse on suspicion the purchase isn’t legit. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t legit.

Yep. Even Sarah Brady did that.

And as an FFL explained to me, “This is the only business where I can look at the ID, the 4473, and the money, and if I don’t like what I see, I can push it all back across the counter.”
