Hypeline News: It’s no secret that the government loves to waste money on unnecessary things. After all, why worry about spending when you’re spending other people’s money. This is the latest example of a useless study funded by we the taxpayers.
The University of Oregon received $412,000 from the National Science Foundation to publish a paper entitled “Glaciers, Gender, and Science – A feminist glaciology framework for global environmental climate change.”
If you’re skeptical of the name and believe that it may be a study that might somehow contribute something worthwhile to society, you’re wrong. In fact, the abstract reads, in part:
“Merging feminist postcolonial science studies and feminist political ecology, the feminist glaciology framework generates robust analysis of gender, power, and epistemologies in dynamic social-ecological systems, thereby leading to more just and equitable science and human-ice interactions.”
