  1. The Presidents got our backs keeping us out of those courtrooms so you can stay home and protect your families and properties. Best decision I’ve ever made in my life was voting for Trump and I plan to do it again come hell, high water or viruses.

  2. The time to buy a gun and learn how to use it is not when you need to use it.

It’s something everyone should have already done so there is no need to panic when an emergency occurs.

Waiting till the panic, the need to use it, to buy one and learn how to use it is a little like waiting till a fire breaks out in your house to buy a fire extinguisher.

  3. I saw a rant a couple of days ago from a gun shop owner, about all the first-time buyers who wanted their guns now now now, when he has to order it, deal with backlog, plus the 10-day ‘cooloff period’ (CA naturally). If you are going to buy a gun at least do a little research first.

  4. Shipping of online ammo is now ‘temporarily’ prohibited to my state Kansas….WTF?….doesn’t matter much because most are backordered…Luckily the local farm store and grocery store has some….less now because of me…I will also be sending a .45-70 round down range tonight for the memory of .45-70…..Thanks Different Tim, for the reminder….

  5. @ Answerman Cooper…..I can’t find anything officially stated but I would encourage you to try to buy some ammo online and try to checkout with it. Even if it’s backordered a pop up comes on and says they can’t ship it to my location at this time because of regulations out of their control…..I suppose I could call the local sheriff, but they are busy enough these days….

  6. willysgoatgruff,

Just out of curiosity, why the banning of plastic coated ammo in Kansas? Is it considered different than other bore protective coatings for some reason?

  7. @ Anonymous…..I don’t know but I suspect that all of the gun regulations are driven by the 6 blue counties in Kansas. All are located in eastern Kansas around the major cities….Maybe Bad_Brad has an idea about the plastic coatings and the online sales ban….

  8. Everybody needs to remember if using surplus military ammo or ammo of questionable origins, a lot of them use corrosive powders and/or primers containing salts and other elements. Give them good cleanings using water besides your normal cleaning solvents. Water will help remove the salts. Chrome lined barrels are less prone to the corrosive properties of the salts but better safe than sorry. Rust is not your friend.

  9. The real scary part is a LOT of these new gun buyers are dems. Not only are they unskilled and untrained, they have no clue what the laws are about what you can and can’t do with that gun.

They also think the mere presence of a gun in their hand will make any bad guy back down. The bad guy has already decided he has no problem shooting someone but the dem will hesitate – he hasn’t decided in his heart and soul that he WILL pull the trigger if necessary. Someone who’s experienced with firearms has already thought long and hard about it. He may not WANT to kill but he will if he has to.

There’s going to be a sharp uptick in unjustified shootings along with a sharp uptick in dead homeowners. Just what the gun-grabbers want.

  10. @ Bad_Brad…..Thanks…..any idea why the online stores won’t deliver to my location? I found one website that also listed problems for shipping to states like N.J., Connecticut and other gun grabbing east coast states, but Kansas?….doesn’t make sense as I made purchases in the last 2 years…

Best wishes for your quick, speedy and full recovery….

I think most of the online ammo sales guys are overwhelmed trying to keep up with every state. And in some cases every county. I imagine everything should settle down next week.

Thanks for your well wishes. I’ve got 10 radiation days left and can see light at the end of the tunnel. Radiation SUCKS.
